Smoke

If you are surrounded by smokers, then you may find it especially difficult to quit. Similarly, if you continue to be around places and situations that you associate with smoking, you may also be headed for trouble. Try to make some changes, especially in the first few weeks after quitting. This can reduce the pressure on you to smoke. Obviously, you cannot eliminate all temptations. But, as we said, the more environmental triggers you can eliminate, the better.

This suggestion is not always easy to implement. For instance, you may have a big problem if your partner continues to smoke. It would be great if you could convince him or her to join you. Not only would you be able to eliminate a source of temptation in your home, but also you could be mutually supportive during the process. Otherwise, it may be very difficult for a smoking partner to help you quit.

It will probably also be necessary for you to learn to be a little more assertive. You’ll need to be able to ask people around you not to smoke, or at least to delay smoking until you’re not there. There are other assertive things on which you’ll want to work. You’ll need to be able to refuse cigarettes when people offer them to you. You’ll need to ask people to respect your wishes for a smoke-free environment at times when the temptation (not to mention the smoke) can be overwhelming.

Remember, being assertive doesn’t mean you’re being aggressive. It’s simply your right to stick up for things that are appropriate for you, without hurting someone else. Think about it-are you really hurting someone else by asking them not to smoke?

Buy Digital Vaporizer for smoke-free environment.
